There are more than  100 historic signs in the Tenderloin Neighborhood of San Francisco, Some are glowing, some are forgotten and rusting away. This project includes a sign survey and restoration plans to restore 4-5 signs per year with support from  San Francisco Neon, the Tenderloin Museum, the SF Shines program, and the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development.

A neon survivor for more than 70 years, Li Po is a local watering hole and underground music and literary venue. Many thanks to the Li Po Lounge, Lily Lo,  Darcy Bender of the SF Shines matching grant program, and Arrow Sign Co. for making this neon restoration project a dream come true in 2018.

The restoration  of a neon gem in San Francisco's Portola District. This was a 2017 project of the Portola Neighborhood Association, SF Shines matching grant program, and the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development included restoration of the theater facade and neon restoration by Jim Rizzo and team at Neon Works.
